Where we started
BareEarth began with one product and one goal. We made grounding sheets for people who wanted rest to come more easily, and we built them to be sheets you'd want on your bed anyway.
Over the years, thousands of you slept on them and wrote to tell us about your nights. Those stories are a big part of why we kept going.
As we grew, we didn't want to stop at grounding.
Why Velin
Rest has more parts than what you lie on: how you wind down in the evening, how dark and quiet the room is at night, how you wake up in the morning. So BareEarth became Velin, a name big enough for all of it.
Who we work with
To grow beyond grounding, we've partnered with specialists and experts who care as much as we do about getting the details right, from the organic cotton in our sheets to the glass beads in our blankets. It means we can bring you more products, made with the same care.
The name
Vélin is French for vellum, the smoothest writing surface of its time and later the name for the finest, most even paper. We liked the idea of a material chosen with care and made to be used every day.
